LeoVince Pegram Racing Ducati Team on the Podium Again in Formula Xtreme

Larry Pegram Finishes Second After a Tough Battle with Josh Hayes

Hebron, OH, August 20, 2007 - Larry Pegram, of the LeoVince Pegram Racing Ducati Team, worked his way to a second place finish after starting on the front row in fourth position on the grid. Pegram qualified with a 1:27.762. This is the second podium finish for the team this season in the Lockhart Phillips USA Formula Xtreme series.

Once again fans were treated to a great race in Formula Xtreme class; with Pegram pulling the holeshot and running in first place for lap one. He stayed right on the leader, Josh Hayes of Erion Honda, for most of the race. Hayes even commented in the media session after the race that he could hear Pegram's bike.

Towards the end of the race Hayes was able to pull a small gap but Pegram held on to finish second.

As the AMA Superbike Championship comes to down to the final two races of the season Pegram is showing champion speed on his Ducati 749R. He is currently in fourth place overall with 188 points, only 21 away from third place.

"This podium feels great, especially after what happened at Mid-Ohio. I am very comfortable running at Josh's pace and just have to ride without making any mistakes. The team has been working very hard and the results are there now. We got a late start, but everything is spot on at this point. I am feeling very strong and looking forward to Road Atlanta in two weeks," said Pegram.

The team's next race will be the AMA Suzuki Superbike Showdown, presented by Makita on August 31 - September 2, 2007, in Braselton, Georgia at Road Atlanta.
